A 43-year-old man was arrested Monday for allegedly trying to set a woman on fire with a Molotov cocktail in Petaluma, police said. Police responded to a report of a woman who had been set on fire at the North McDowell Boulevard bridge near Lynch Creek Way just after 5:30 p.m.

Jesus Orosco of Petaluma was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of arson of an inhabited dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon, making terrorist threats and threatening a police officer, authorities said. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
