NEW CONCORD - Parades and large celebrations have long been a part of Lyn Glenn s life as the daughter of U.S. Senator and distinguished astronaut John Glenn.
She found herself back in New Concord Saturday watching the floats go by from the front porch of his boyhood home now located on Main Street. It was all to celebrate what would have been her father s 100th birthday on Sunday. I think the first parade we were in was in Washington, but there was a small parade in Florida after Dad s flight, Lyn said.
She remembers the game she and her brother invented to make themselves feel more comfortable in the limelight.
