Local volunteers supporting Wreaths Across America in Becker County and Detroit Lakes have been working hard to ensure that the annual tribute to U.S. Armed Forces service members will go on as scheduled this year, despite COVID-19 restrictions.
Wreaths made of real balsam fir boughs will once again be placed at parks around Detroit Lakes this Saturday, Dec. 19, starting at 11 a.m. The festivities will begin at Veterans Memorial Park, continuing to the Grand Army of the Republic Park, the World War II memorial (i.e., a monument dedicated to WW II soldier Lyle Crovisier, who was killed in action) at the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes, Oak Grove Cemetery and Holy Ro
