Author: Gaël Arellano - adapted for RTL Today|Update: 01.01.2021 09:14 Image d illustration / © AFPP Minister of Health Paulette Lenert confirmed in a parliamentary response to Pirate Party MP Sven Clément that Luxembourg had purchased 850,000 KN95 masks from China earlier in 2020 that did not meet European requirements. The masks, with 94% filtration, had been purchased mainly from two Chinese producers . Unfortunately some of the masks were distributed to the country s health staff before being recalled. 279,400 (non-compliant) masks have been distributed, including 200,000 to clinics so that they can establish a reserve stock. 63,000 masks have been distributed to dentists and 16,400 to state administrations , Lenert writes.
