Brisbane’s Nova 106.9 has appointed Bronte Langbroek to fill in for Susie O’Neill during the Tokyo Olympics.
O’Neill, an eight-time Olympic medal-winning swimmer in her own right, will depart with the Australian Olympic team tomorrow, acting as the Deputy Chef de Mission for the team for the duration of the games.
The absence of O’Neill will allow Langbroek, who generally acts as co-producer for the Brisbane breakfast program, to move into the studio to join the team on-air, starting from Monday July 19.
Langbroek, the niece of Australian broadcasting legend Kate Langbroek, said that she was looking forward to keeping O’Neill’s seat warm across the next fortnight.
