KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 Bursa Malaysia opened higher today, tracking the overnight improvement on Wall Street.
At 9.10am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) gained 2.93 points to 1,585.57 from Thursday’s close of 1,582.64.
The index opened 3.87 points higher at 1,586.51.
On the broader market, gainers led losers 294 to 171, while 328 counters were unchanged, 1,331 untraded and nine others suspended.
Total volume stood at 596.52 million shares worth RM225.02 million.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 Bursa Malaysia remained marginally higher at mid-afternoon on mild trading momentum with scattered buying in selected heavyweights.
At 3.25pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rose 2.44 points to 1,585.08 compared with yesterday’s close of 1,582.64.
The index opened 3.87 points higher at 1,586.51.
On the broader market, gainers led losers 569 to 411, while 428 counters were unchanged, 716 untraded and nine others suspended.
Total volume stood at 4.74 billion shares worth RM2.12 billion.
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session higher in line with the regional bourses amid optimism of investors fresh from the Lunar New Year celebration. At lunch break, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia (FBM KLCI) rose 9.89 points to 1,609.31 after moving between 1,607.00.
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 Bursa Malaysia opened higher in early trade on Monday, breaching the 1,600-level after Wall Street stocks made further advances last Friday with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite closing at records. At 9.12am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 12.14.
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 The local stock market’s key index ended the day on an uptrend, in line with regional peers, dealers said. At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 8.65 points to 1,608.07 from 1,599.42 at last Thursday’s close. The index opened 7.58 points higher.
