“May the Fourth” is the day to celebrate all things Star Wars, and Detroit’s annual Space Dive party brought all that and so much more. Children’s day kicked off the event with parents bringing their kids and letting them run amuck with space creatures and nerf phasers. The main event featured bands like Crune, the Cult of Space Skull, Radkey, the Boreouts, as well as shibari with Cannon Rigger, flying pole with Alexia, burlesque with Lushes Lamoan and Wesley and the Crushers, all adding some Star Wars love into their sets. Besides the artists, the other reason to come is to see all the amazing cosplay.

The Dally in the Alley experience is not complete without a stroll down Cass to see what’s going on at the Old Miami and The Dirtiest Most Bizarre Art Show That Is Not In The Alley Ever. Here, the vendors sell erotic art and other things that are more in the DIY/punk spirit. The performances follow the theme with Satori Circus and Konrad Lee, Caveman and Bam Bam, Synthia Looper (her second show of the day), burlesque performers, Lushes LaMoan, and Roxi D’Lite brought the fire. Plus, there were silks and poles by D3 and a drag queen karaoke contest.
