Court finds Kambwili with case to answer in contempt case – Zambia: News Diggers!

This is a matter in which Kambwili is charged with contempt of court for allegedly tampering with evidence in relation to Mwamona Engineering and Technical Services Limited at Patents and Companies Registration Agency, which was a subject in an active case before Magistrate David Simusamba. Kambwili was convicted and sentenced to one year imprisonment for forgery and uttering a false document by Magistrate Simusamba in the said matter. He has now appealed the case.

Magistrates Court A 35-YEAR-OLD Chililabombwe woman accused of forging a Zambia Open University (ZAOU) Bachelor of Laws degree and uttering the said false document to an examinations officer at ZIALE has denied the charges. Clare Mulwanda, a senior assistant Legal officer at Chililabombwe Municipal Council pleaded not guilty to two counts of forgery and uttering a false document before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday. In this matter, it is alleged in count one that Mulwanda between September 10, 2009 and December 2019 in Lusaka, with intent to deceive or defraud forged a Zambia Open University Bachelor of Laws degree certificate number 091090 by purporting to show that it was genuinely issued by Zambia Open University when in fact not.

Chipampe was testifying in a matter in which, Christopher Kikombe, 27, of Kafue estate is charged with five counts of forgery, uttering false documents and personating public officers. In count one, Kikombe is charged with forgery. It is alleged that Kikombe on April 14, 2020, in Lusaka with intent to deceive, forged a contract of employment showing that that Benny Mwampatisha was offered a job in the Ministry of National Development and Planning when in fact not.
