The makers of Johnnie Walker announced their intent to plant one million trees across Scotland before 2025, as part of an ongoing commitment from the brand to reduce its carbon footprint and restore the natural resources used in creating its range of whiskies. Brand owner Diageo recently announced its Society 2030: Spirit of Progress sustainability plan, which includes ambitious environmental goals such as being net zero emissions from all direct operations by 2030, with all distilleries powered by 100% green energy by the same date.
