Twenty years ago, Kentucky was ranked next to last in the U.S. for colorectal cancer screening rates. Thanks to massive public health efforts led by the Kentucky Cancer Consortium and several major cancer groups, colorectal cancer screening rates have doubled in Kentucky, leading to a 30% decrease in incidence and mortality.
