select Fr. Jim Lies will become interim president of U.P. June 30. U.P plans online commencement The University of Portland has announced plans for an online commencement ceremony for the class of 2021 on Sunday, May 9 at 1 p.m.
The university said the decision to hold an online event was driven by COVID-19 pandemic precautions that limit large crowds.
