Mark Richard Luther of Herkimer has been drawing since he can remember.
The family story is that his mother put paper and pencil in his hands when he was quite small and he’s been drawing ever since.
“I started drawing Snoopy, from Peanuts , for awhile,” he recalled, but then moved on to begin drawing his own characters.
Recently he turned his passion for cartoon drawing into a graphic novel titled, “Frankie Crossroads in The Journey.”
The story is about a frog Frankie from a swamp on Route 28 who becomes a traveling Blues guitarist, sets off for New York City and meets some interesting characters along the way, according to Luther.
