Intel s Alder Lake CPUs are coming this year, which means new motherboards, a new socket, and a slew of new features that need software monitoring support.

WCCFTech reports that a handful of ASUS motherboards for the upcoming Intel Alder Lake processors just got support for the popular monitoring software HWinfo. The boards, featuring socket 1700 and the Intel Z690 chipset, feature a few ones from the basic ASUS line and some from the Republic of Gamers series.
In a conservation success, bald eagle populations in the lower 48 U.S. states have increased fourfold since 2009, according to a new population estimate.
The survey combined formal bird counts by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with the contributions of birdwatchers through a national database. The estimate found 316,000 bald eagles in the U.S. outside of Alaska.
The estimate does not include the much smaller eagle population in the Southwest, especially Arizona. The Arizona population of bald eagles remains on the endangered species list as a subpopulation, due to the limited number of breeding pairs.
However, the Arizona population has also grown steadily in the past 40 years and now includes 90 breeding pairs. That compares to just 11 pairs in 1978.

Technology company Intel is said to be developing the 14th Generation Luna Lake processors. According to unnamed insiders, Intel has hinted at the potential release date for the new processor.

Coelacanth s Dream detected the term Intel Luna Lake processor through Videocardz on a page that showed a patch introducing support for the unannounced CPU.
The patch notes are said to be for the Intel Ethernet Driver e1000e, a 1-Gbps NIC for Linux systems. Based on the patch notes, support for Intel Meteor Lake CPU was added in Oct. 2020.

The Bath Festival Finale Weekend has been rescheduled due to COVID-19.
Following an update from the UK government on when large live events will be allowed to return, the musical finale to the multi-arts festival will now take place over the weekend of August 7 and 8, instead of May. All original tickets will remain valid.
Organisers have retained the majority of the original line up, with McFly and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro headlining the Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
What? A two-day musical closing party to the family-friendly festival with street food and drink, craft workshops, spoken word and street theatre.
