At the concord dmv, some under the impression that this field office would be up and running because the dmv did indicate that all its computers would be back online by this morning. They just informed me that the field offices will be coming up back gradually throughout the day. I just went onto the website and none of the field offices that were out yesterday have come back online yet as of 10 30 this morning. Its a strange site inside the dmv to see an empty room and no lines. The experience has been described as a catastrophic hardware outage that took out 16 locations here in the bay area. Since then the dmv has been limited in what it can do for the customers in person. In most instances employees are turning away customers and sending them to places like pittsburgh or walnut creek that didnt experience outages or making return appointments.
