The series opener is set for 6:30 PM (CT) on Friday night at Hawks Field. The teams then meet at 2 PM on Saturday and the game will be broadcast statewide on NET. Sunday’s finale is scheduled for Noon.
The Huskers enter the weekend 0.5 game back of Indiana (23-10) for first place in the Big Ten, with the Hoosiers visiting Michigan this weekend for a three-game series. The Wolverines sit third in the league with a 23-12 record, 1.0 game out of first place and 0.5 game behind Nebraska for second place.

Piscataway, N.J. The Nebraska baseball team capped a 3-1 trip to New Jersey with a 7-6 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in 13 innings on Monday at Bainton Field. The Huskers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first inning but then didn t score again until the 13th inning. Griffin Everitt drove in Brice Matthews in the top of the 13th to give Nebraska the lead and then Koty Frank recorded his first save as a Husker with a perfect inning of relief. Tyler Martin earned the win and improved to 2-0 on the year.

The Nebraska baseball team (22-11) bounced back after a loss in the first game of a Sunday double-header and topped Rutgers (17-16) 15-5. This win is the Huskers’ first over the Scarlet Knights in four tries this season, after being swept last weekend.
NU was the first team on the board Sunday, and the runs came in the third inning.
Jaxon Hallmark started the rally with one out when he doubled, and a walk in the following at-bat put two runners on.
Luke Roskam doubled as well, and that drove in two runs for the Big Red.

Luke Roskam matched a career high with six RBI, including a sixth-inning grand slam, to power Nebraska to a 15-5 win over Rutgers Sunday afternoon. Roskam went 3-for-5 and scored three times, while Jaxson Hallmark scored four runs and stole three bases for the Huskers (22-11), who bounced back from a 4-2 loss to Indiana earlier Sunday.
Nebraska used a five-run sixth inning to break open a 3-1 lead despite a 40-minute weather delay during the inning.
