Screen Australia’s First Nations department and Network 10 have selected six projects to receive up to A$70,000 of production funding through the First Facts: First Nations Factual Showcase.

Miiesha is one of five Indigenous artists set to receive $18,500 through a new series of First Nations Sound Recording Partnership grants.
The grants, funded by ARIA, The Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) and the Australia Council for the Arts, aim to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians and bands with their next projects.
Trials, Jess Hitchcock, Luke Riches and The Struggling Kings, and Daniel Wilfred were the four other grant recipients.

Per a press release, Miiesha plans to use her share of the funds to record two new EPs which will follow on from her critically acclaimed debut record, ‘Nyaaringu’.
