After being stuck on the sand of Jacksonville Beach since late October, a 40-foot sailboat was demolished and removed Tuesday afternoon by a contractor hired by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
A vendor hired by FWC is coming to look at the boat Monday to determine equipment and permit needed to haul it away, according to Jacksonville Beach's mayor.
The owner of a 40-foot sailboat that’s been grounded at Jacksonville Beach since October now has a warrant out for his arrest, according to court documents.
