Three youthful supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi have been arrested in Nansana municipality by the army, allegedly over playing pro-Kyagulanyi music and cleaning his campaign posters.
Uganda People s Defense Forces (UPDF) soldiers attached to Jjagala police post in Gombe Division, Wakiso district arrested the three youths while on a foot patrol on Monday afternoon. According to residents, the soldiers first fired several rounds of live ammunition in the air before arresting and detaining the youth at Jjagala police station.
