On Oct. 6, a legal notice was posted in the Bonner County Daily Bee and on Oct. 19, the Planning Department gave notice the Bonner County Commissioners would convene a public hearing Thursday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at the Bonner County Administrative Building.
Bonner County attorney Scott Bauer has filed a tort claim last week against Mike Rosedale, claiming that statements the Bonner County clerk made in an email allegedly damaged his professional reputation.
Bauer filed the claim late last week after he alleged Rosedale acted “with actual malice, knowledge of falsity or reckless disregard of truth” and defamed the attorney. In the 13-page tort, Bauer requested damages in the amount of $500,00 for Rosedale’s conduct.
A tort claim is the precursor to a lawsuit against a governmental agency or individual.
Two Bonner County commissioners voted Tuesday morning to allow Commissioner Luke Omodt to continue utilizing Idaho Code for the purpose of requesting access to Commissioner Asia Williams’s emails.
Bonner County commissioners voted Tuesday to seek further clarification on a protection order against Commissioner Steve Bradshaw filed earlier this year by Commissioner Asia Williams. The vote came after a deputy was found to be recording executive sessions.
