Eighty-one years ago, on Dec. 7, 1941, "A date which will live in infamy,” as President Franklin D. Roosevelt said, the Japanese bombed the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and brought the United States into WWII. Pearl Harbor is located on the island of Oahu, west of Honolulu.
