Emergency response drill planned Wednesday at SLO Airport
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport will conduct an emergency response drill Wednesday afternoon, and smoke and other activity could be visible to people nearby.
The drill is set to take place from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.
An airport spokesperson says the goal is to make sure the airport and other local agencies are prepared and ready to respond to emergencies.
The drill will take place within the airport s property, but people might see smoke, emergency vehicles and other activity around the airport during the roughly three-hour drill.

Having an ID and boarding pass may not be enough next time you want to board a plane â soon you may need a negative COVID-19 test too.
Already to fly into the United States from another country, the CDC has required all passengers have negative tests. Local airports say making this a reality here at home though, could be difficult to implement.
The aviation industry has already had to make some major changes in the last year: like requiring masks on flights and social distancing at the airport.
