Vita Club 0-3 Al Ahly
After playing out a draw and a loss in their last two Champions League matches, reigning champions Al Ahly returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win over AS Vita Club, courtesy of goals from Mohamed Sherif, Mohamed Magdi Kafsha and Taher Mohamed. Tuesday s result saw Pitso Mosimane s side jump above their Congolese opponents in the Group A table and into a strong position to progress to the next round.
Simba 3-0 Al Merreikh
Ahly s Group A rivals Simba maintained their unbeaten run in this season s campaign after recording a resounding 3-0 win over Al Merreikh. Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Luis Miquisonne continued his fine form this season with the game s opening goal, before Mohammed Husseini and Mutshimba Mugala secured all three points for the Tanzanian giants.

Simba have since appointed Frenchman Didier Gomez Da Rosa and he will handle the team in the meeting against the Congolese side.
Da Rosa has already named a travelling squad of 27 players for the clash, leaving out injured captain John Bocco and Zimbabwean striker Perfect Chikwende, who is not eligible to play, having turned out for Platinum against the same side.
However, Da Rosa will be happy to welcome back Ghanaian forward Bernard Morrison, who missed the two-legged fixture against Platinum owing to a knee injury.
