MEXICO CITY, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) Latin America s strategy for combating the COVID-19 pandemic should consider the tactics of East Asian countries such as China, according to a Mexican expert.
In East Asia, particularly China, the synergy between the government, companies and the entire pharmaceutical sector has made it possible to contain outbreaks, Jose Luis de la Cruz, director of the Mexican Institute for Industrial Development and Economic Growth, said in an interview with Xinhua. Relying on that experience, and how it was achieved, so we can transmit it to Latin America, would be essential to try to make the region move faster towards overcoming the pandemic, said De la Cruz.
