When Signal Mountain’s forwards began to press, the home squad saw one of their centerbacks pass back to the keeper. But in a heartbreaking moment for the parents and fans in the stands, the keeper misplayed the ball. Instead of a routine redistribution, the ball cruelly trickled back into the Patriots own net for an own goal.
