Alonso undergoes jaw surgery after road accident

Two-time Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso has undergone corrective surgery on his jaw after being involved in a road traffic accident on Thursday.
Alonso was knocked off his bike while cycling in Switzerland. Alonso is set to return to F1 with Renault s rebranded team, Alpine, this season, which starts with preseason testing in Bahrain on March 12.
On Friday, Alpine confirmed he sustained a fractured upper jaw in the accident. The surgery was a success and the Spaniard will be kept under observation for a further 48 hours.

It has been revealed that a 42-year-old female Swiss driver crashed into Alonso who was on a bike while preparing for his 2021 campaign.

Alpine F1 has announced that Fernando Alonso has successful surgery for his jaw and teeth after his accident while cycling in Switzerland. After being hospitalised after the crash, it was revealed he perhaps had fractures, now it has been reported that his surgery has been successful and it was a minor injury, so much so that Alpine believes he will be available for the start of the season.
