Covid19, zika, h1n1 and flu and polio. They made the decision after a meeting late this week where experts didnt reach a consensus. So in short, we have an outbreak that has spread around the world rapidly. Through new modes of transmission about which we understand too little and which meets the criteria in the International Health regulations. So at this point the world has seen more than 16,000 monkeypox cases this year and over 70 countries. U. S. Has recorded more than 2500 cases since may. As of last week, the u. S. Has distributed 156,000 doses of the Monkeypox Vaccine to states and ramped up testing capacity.
