With great power comes even greater responsibility, something we wish everyone driving a performance car understood. If that were true, we wouldn’t get cases like this where a woman was caught street racing in a Dodge Charger Hellcat with an eight-year-old child in the backseat. Watch a pathetic street racer get taken down by cops. Street racing is dumb enough, but doing it while there’s a young one in the car is beyond the pale. Period. We don’t care if it’s your kid or not, don’t ever do this.
The 43-year old man was found inside his vehicle in the area of SW Ewing Avenue and SW Addie Street. He was suffering from apparent multiple "gunshot wounds" and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sergeant Matt Reynolds deployed a drone and K-9 handler Mitch Miller and Landi were able to locate and arrest the suspect in the area of SW Crosstown Parkway and SW Cutlass Avenue.
A death investigation has been launched, however a post on the St. Lucie Police Department Facebook page states that "there appears to be no unusual circumstances at this time."
