Stewart has made a lot of friends over his three decades in professional motorsports and he’s taking a handful of them back to their roots over the next two months for one of the most anticipated experiments in recent motorsports history.
Superstar Racing Experience Race Format, Championship Structure
Here s the race and championship format for the new IROC Series.
The Superstar Racing Experience has a format.
Essentially IROC with legendary drivers but on iconic dirt and short tracks, the SRX will race on six consecutive Saturday nights starting June 12 at Stafford Motor Speedway with every race airing live on over-the-air CBS.
Each of the six events will consist of three segments two 15-minute heat races and a 100-lap feature.
The heat races will determine the starting lineup for the main event, and championship points will be accumulated in both the heats and the feature. There will be a halftime break for drivers to make adjustments in advance of the finish.

The National Hot Rod Association is planning to relocate its corporate offices from it s long-standing home in Glendora, Calif.
The racing series plans to relocate part of its operation to Indianapolis, while keeping a smaller physical presence in Southern California.
The building and property have as assessed value of nearly $5 million.
The National Hot Rod Association won’t be leaving the cradle of drag racing altogether anytime soon. However, its headquarters in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora, Calif., is listed for sale through Colliers International real estate corporation.

From SRX: Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) has announced the format for its six-race short-track series that will debut this summer on Saturday nights in primetime on the CBS Television Network and streaming live on Paramount+.
SRX format aims to reward driver skills, smarts on short tracks
The good old steering wheel, gas pedal and brake pedal. With this format, you not only have to be the fastest driver, but you ve got to be the smartest driver too, said Tony Stewart, who co-founded SRX and will drive one of the cars this summer.

SRX disclosed the format it will use Thursday to The Associated Press when the all-star series launches this summer at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut on June 12 for the first of six Saturday night short-track races across the country.
Each event will consist of two timed 15-minute heat races followed by a 100-lap feature at every track except Slinger Speedway in Wisconsin, where the event will be extended by 50 laps because the track is only a quarter-mile oval.
