Letter: Respect for Marlena in face of gov t overreach

The article titled, “Warrant issued for Marlena’s owner” in Friday’s Sentinel was painful to read. I learned that Marlena Pavlos-Hackney will be incarcerated unless she complies with an order to cease operations at the restaurant that she owns and operates in Holland.
In the article, Marlena states that she is not infringing on anyone’s rights by remaining open and she believes that a person’s health is his/her responsibility. This makes sense to me. We are free to visit Marlena’s, or not, based on our better judgment. We are free to avoid anything or any place that makes us feel unsafe.
