LaRue County Middle School students participated virtually last week in the annual Kentucky Youth Assembly.
The program acts as a two-day mock government learning activity for state government. Students learn about the three branches of government by participating in the legislature, the judicial branch and the executive branch. Schools are separated into delegations and are awarded based on individual performance.
LaRue County Middle School was awarded the outstanding delegation, which is awarded to a premiere delegation with the highest quality of participation, level of preparedness and behavior exemplifying the Yâs four core values.
Students were invited to the middle school to participate online in the schoolâs cafeteria while practicing appropriate health protocols.
