Lubbock s TAS United celebrates return to office with meal for homeless
By Sam Pontius
Dozens of homeless people in the downtown Lubbock area flocked to the TAS United building to enjoy free food and drinks as part of a celebration of the business return back to the office.
As COVID-19 cases decrease across the country, TAS United is reopening its doors at 1503 Ave. J to employees who have worked remotely for nearly 16 months, according to a news release from the company.
To celebrate the company’s return to its building located in the heart of Lubbock, the company grilled burgers and hot dogs in the parking lot to be shared with less fortunate members of the surrounding area.
