Taipei, April 30 (CNA) Taiwan received far less rain between February and April than the average rainfall during those months over the past two decades due to strong northeasterly winds and a lack of moisture from the south, the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) said Friday.
Taiwan received 163.7 millimeters of rainfall during the three-month period, only about half of the 301.97 mm of rainfall averaged during the same period since 1991 when data was first compiled, according to the CWB.
There were only 22.1 rainy days during the spring months of February to April, also lower than the 20-year average of 33.7 days, and the lowest for any year during that period.
