the majority of the shelters reside in our district. our office has taken the time to interview many of the candidates and get suggestions and recommendations from the community as well. this is a very important committee to us. there is a lot of work that needs to be done in our shelters and a lot of improvements we need to make and monitor. i appreciate that so many members of our community want to serve on this tough committee. there is a huge time commitment. those of you who have been a part of our shelter system, a very much appreciate your willingness to serve. if i might make a suggestion, based on some of what we have heard, i also want to say we did take into account an ability to engage respectfully in these committees, even when we disagree. it is something we thought was very important, because we deal with such tough issues on this committee. one of the suggestions i would like to make port seat make for seat two, for judy kerns. 463, i respect the work for
