PUTRAJAYA: The Cabinet has approved 23 recommendations made by the nine-member investigation committee on the May 24 LRT Kelana Jaya line collision incident.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the recommendations will improve systemic and safety aspects of RapidRail in the short and long term.
Among the recommendations is to have two hostlers (drivers), in which one person will handle the train manually and another will act as security and compliance personnel.
The findings of the committee were presented at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday (June 9).
