Welcome to Camp Eden
A new luxury campsite is coming to the Lake District this summer.
Camp Eden, at the Lowther Estate outside Penrith, will offer boutique camping, food and drink, music and outdoor activities on its doorstep including cycling, hiking, wild swimming and kids’ adventures.
Organisers said: “Camp Eden will be an incredible experience for anyone desperate to escape to nature and unlock their wild side.
“After what’s been a long 12 months, we’re excited to look forward to a summer of rekindling our passion for the great outdoors.
“We’re lucky to have the stunning Lake District National Park on our doorstep, so families and groups can pitch up at Camp Eden and get out and about exploring the neighbourhood during the daytime, before returning for a hot shower, woodfired pizza, craft beer and a relax around the campfire.”

Cash boost for 13 projects to help make Cumbria an inspiration in sustainable development
Thirteen organisations across Cumbria have been awarded cash from the Lake District Foundation to help them develop conservation projects.
Each organisation has been given between £250 and £500 from the foundation’s small grants fund, launched earlier this year.

The foundation said the fund attracted a lot of applications and the successful recipients were projects which shared its goal of making the Lake District and Cumbria an inspirational example of sustainable development in action, support a prosperous local economy, world-class visitor experiences and a place where vibrant communities come together to sustain its landscape, wildlife and cultural heritage.
