It’s time to dig out your fishing pole and tackle box and head to your favorite spot – fishing seasons begin this weekend.
Inland trout and salmon, and Lower Peninsula inland walleye and northern pike fishing seasons open on Saturday, April 24 – they’re the first to open for the 2021 season.
The new license season began April 1, so make sure you’re up to date before casting your first line. 2021 licenses are valid through March 31, 2022. To purchase, visit Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses.
