The Appointment of Judicial Officers In the sixties when I began the practice of Law, appointment to the Bench was strictly on merit. At that time, appointments were by invitation, after, at least, 10 years in practice. Sitting Judges were always quick to identify legal practitioners who possessed sterling qualities suitable for appointment to the Bench.

It’s the last weekend for the Magic of Lights Vail, a brand new attraction that fills the nights with fun and wonder after a great day on the slopes. Magic of Lights Vail is a walk-through display of colorful lights and winter-themed displays consisting of 500,000 lights along a half mile path throughout Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and the Lower Bench of Ford Park. The area is large enough to allow for social distancing and reservations are set so there’s a specific number of people allowed into the area at one time.

An illuminating trip through Vail’s winter’s magic is a centerpiece of the Rocky Mountain experience this winter: Welcome to Magic of Lights, Vail, where the majesty of the holidays will come alive in a ½-mile walk-through of displays and activations utilizing more than 500,000 low-impact LED lights.
The experience will be available through Jan. 24 at the Lower Bench area of Ford Park in Vail, only steps away from the Golden Peak base near Vail Village. The pathway through the displays winds along a snowy track and through the world-renowned Betty Ford Alpine Gardens.
