Happened around 8 00 last night. While we wont you show you which house out of the familys privacy, it happened here in Mountain View where police say a rental dispute turned violent. Take a look at the familys front door. You can see where someone was kicking and hitting it to break it down and get inside monday night. Extra frightening, because just before the pounding and kicking started, the power suddenly went how fast. When they arrived there, one individual turned off the electricity in the home in an attempt to scare them out. A second individual actually used a knife to try to break through the front door. Reporter Mountain View Police Arrested these five people including the landlord herself, for, among other charges, breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon. A neighbor said he heard it happen. I was cooking dinner, and i heard the commotion. I saw the i mean, im hearing banging. I varisaid, hey, knock that off. Police say the violence was over a rental dispute.
And the secret service and Marshals Service requested our assistance in clearing the house. The fairfield s. W. A. T. Team arrived and evacuated the neighborhood. We also call the our Crisis Negotiations Team to attempt to call people out. We did not receive any response. Police also ordered people out of the house over a bullhorn. Come through the front door with your hands up. When that did not work, they fired tear gas. At one point, we saw a man and woman cannot together and placed in handcuffs but others came out at different times, all needed water to wash with the teargas effects but police say it is unclear if any of those who came out of the house are being charged with any crimes. We have had about 9 or 10 people come out of the house. All of those people are detained and being questioned by the secret service and the Marshals Service. 4 the investigation is continuing and neighbors are allowed back into their home and glad that this all ended peacefully.
