Personal injury filed against Lowe s for alleged unsafe conditions at Haverford Township location

MEDIA - The Lowe s Home Center at 116 W. Township line Rd. in Haverford Township was caught in a personal injury lawsuit in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas. The complaint was filed on April 29 by plaintiff William C. McGinley of Phoenixville. McGinley says he visited the Lowe s on April 10, 2020, and tripped on a security cable anchored to a lawn equipment display in the porch and outdoor area.  McGinley suffered several injuries as a result of the fall, including contusions, abrasions, strain/sprain and a partial shoulder separation, the suit says. According to the plaintiff, there was no visible warning or cautionary signs of the cable that was loose on the ground and a hazard to pedestrians, and McGinley says he was told by a Lowe s employee that shoppers are normally not permitted to walk where he did, but no signage to indicate so was present.
