Croatian coach Zlatko Dalić has spoken to the press on Tuesday as the national team started gathering today in Rovinj to prepare for Euro 2020.
Euro 2020 starts on June 11, and Croatia will play its first game on Sunday, June 13 against one of the hosts, England at Wembley stadium.
But before that, Croatia will play two friendly matches. First, on Tuesday, June 1, against Armenia in Velika Gorica, before facing Belgium on June 6 in Brussels.
”We are looking forward to it, today we will start training with a group of 11 players who finished their championships a little earlier. Pašalić and Vrsaljko are coming tomorrow, and the rest of the team on Friday, so we will be complete only then. Mateo Kovačić arrives after the Champions League Final. Three young players from the Croatia U-21 Euro team will join on June 4,’’ said Dalić at the start of the press conference.

Head coach Zlatko DaliÄ has selected the squad to represent Croatia at the upcoming EURO 2020 final tournament.
Croatia national team meets on 25 May in Zagreb, and then travels to Rovinj, before two friendly matches, against Armenia in Velika Gorica (1 June) and Belgium in Brussels (6 June). In EURO 2020 Group D, World Cup finalists face hosts Englands and Scotland, and Czech Republic. The preparation stage will be a tough job. Players come from an exhausting season, but all the national teams are in the same situation. I am happy to have some more time with the players, to develop unity. SPLIT, 22 December 2020 – Croatia international Lovre Kalinic is returning to his home club Hajduk Split. The experienced 30-year-old goalkeeper joins Hajduk on loan from Aston Villa until June 30, 2021, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Kalinic started his goalkeeping career at Hajduk Split, arriving at Poljud stadium at the age of nine and going through all the age-group sides.
He played seven seasons for Hajduk Split first team, making a total of 134 official appearances.
Kalinić left Hajduk Split in December 2016 for Belgium club Ghent where he played for two seasons, after which he moved to Aston Villa.
He spent the first half of 2020 on loan at Toulouse in France, and then returned to Aston Villa.
