The “Lovers of Valdaro” are a pair of human skeletons that were discovered in 2007 by a team of archaeologists at a Neolithic tomb in Italy. The two skeletons appear to have died while they were gazing into one another’s eyes and hugging each other, thus reminiscent of a “lovers’ embrace.”
The “Real” Lovers Of Valdaro
Song Of The Week : I love a little Swedish electropop, and this song, Eternal Embrace from Swedish pop duo The Lovers Of Valdaro is a stunning example. Plus the band’s name refers to a wonderful archaeological discovery of two skeletons locked in an eternal embrace for the past 6000 years. They were discovered in 2007 at a Neolithic tomb in North Italy and are believed to be two men, no more than 20 years old, and found buried hand in hand.
