The late Father Ted actress Rynagh O Grady will be remembered fondly in Rathdrum following her sudden passing at the Greenane home she shared with husband Eamon Murray on Sunday, February 7.
Rynagh was best known for her work at the Abbey Theatre and as Mary in Father Ted . The Abbey Theatre described her as a beloved friend and colleague .
Born in Dublin in 1954, she trained at the Abbey Theatre, and, after working with the Abbey Company for a year, left for London. She undertook a number of courses in England and Europe, including six months with Grotowski at his Theatre Laboratory in Poland.
