Bracknell horse owner s warning after Rocky chokes on apple fed by public

Graphic image warning  Please don t feed horses is the message of one owner whose horse choked after being fed by members of the public. Karen Harnden from Bracknell shared a warning on behalf of her friend about the incident, asking residents not to feed horses in open fields. Rocky the horse had started choking after he was fed what the vet believed to be an apple by a member of public. Karen said: Rocky is fine but quite, with I would guess, a bit off a sore throat. Horses can’t be sick so what goes down has to keep going. This will have left my friend with large vets bill and it is very lucky as horses can be killed if the blockage can’t be cleared or they can end up with pneumonia from fluid getting in the lungs.
