The Good Food Box program will still be available in the region but will switch hands from Plus Industries to North East Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS).
On a monthly basis, members place their order from different box choices that include fresh fruit and vegetables.
Exectuive Director Louise Schweitzer told
northeastNOW the program makes buying produce more affordable.
“Best of all, you get to care about yourself and your family and it helps to ensure you get some essential vitamins and minerals into your diet at a reduced cost,” Schweitzer said.

International Women’s Day is on Monday, March 8 and North East Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS) is celebrating in a big way.
An all-day online event will feature presentations on the eight dimensions of wellness.
NEOSS Executive Director Louise Schweitzer told
northeastNOW it is important to empower women on the regular basis but especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Recognizing the importance of taking care of our mental, physical, social, emotional, spiritual well-being as we navigate the pandemic,” Schweitzer said. “Many of us are caregivers for ourselves and others around us, so we feel it important to focus on women and their self-care in all aspects of wellness.”
