Harness racing trainer enjoys best season in the sport

The mother and daughter are often training horses at the Winton racecourse before 6am in the summer. “Mum’s a big help. When I’ve got to go to work, she’ll stay on and finish things off,” Faithful said. Faithful’s life is busy but she loves it. She has won four races as a driver but nowadays prefers to have Williamson driving her team on race day. When he’s unavailable, there are other good drivers to call on. “I’m quite happy watching these days,” Faithful said. In her fifth season of training, Faithful usually has six to eight horses in work. She believed for horses to race well they needed to have some ability, be healthy, fit and happy.
