FZN Senior Taylor Hopkins recently committed to Tulsa University, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she will participate in row for the Golden Hurricane. A relative newcomer to the sport, Hopkins has been a two-year member of the St. Louis Rowing Club. The club trains at Creve Coeur Park in St. Louis County. Hopkins took up rowing after encouragement from her mother, who was acquainted with several members of the St. Louis Rowing Club. Hopkins quickly took to the sport, and this Spring participated in the Midwest Championships where her team finished in 3rd place. In addition to excelling in rowing, Hopkins is an excellent student who sports an impressive 4.5 GPA, ranking her in the top ten percent of the Class of 2021.
