According to Deadline, Amazon Studios has entered final negotiations to acquire the worldwide distribution rights to Sony Pictures’ upcoming
Cinderella movie which will be led by Grammy-nominated singer Camila Cabello in her feature acting debut. Originally scheduled for a July theatrical release, the musical romantic-comedy film is now slated to make its debut later this year on Amazon Prime Video.

Cinderella was actually one of the many film productions that were temporarily shut down early last year due to the ongoing pandemic. It was able to resume filming in August and was also able to wrap up in September of last year. This also marks Sony Pictures’ latest partnership with a streaming service as their individual streaming deals with Disney+ and Netflix were just announced last month.
