With two-thirds of the governing body under state indictment, Wildwood has needed to rely on what’s called the “doctrine of necessity” to allow votes to take place where there is a conflict of interest, including one Wednesday about representing the city’s interest in a civil suit filed by the mayor and deputy mayor.
Wildwood has a new mayor, sort of, with the return of former Mayor Ernie Troiano to the top seat at the Wednesday reorganization of the Board of Commissioners.
