two police officers last week was not one of them. not a protester. that characterization of 20-year-old jeffrey williams came from the st. louis county prosecutor who called williams a frequent protester. according to a local community organizer, williams confessed to him that he never participated in the protests there in ferguson, missouri. williams is charged with two counts of first-degree assault and is being held on $300,000 bond. let s discuss this further. let s bring in community activist. it s great to have you on last week. we have new information about who this person is. we now have someone under arrest. and now there s all this question about was this person a protester or not? the prosecutor describes him as a freak demonstrator in the city. have you ever seen williams there? i ve not seen him before ever. what do you think the confusion is? we re not confused at all. we know what s happening.
our cnn law enforcement analyst tom fuentes is back with us. jeffrey, the st. louis county prosecutor released more grand jury evidence over the weekend and revealed some testimony that was called into question. some witnesses admitted to lying. one wasn t even in ferguson during the shooting, had posted racist comments on social media the day before michael brown was shot. is this another black eye, as some critics are suggesting, for the prosecutor? certainly the prosecutor said at the beginning of the investigation that he was going to put absolutely everything before the grand jury, and this apparently was not placed before the grand jury. but even so, i don t think any of the larger questions of the case are affected by these documents. but it is something that the prosecutor said he was going to do and he didn t do. it s also just not but i
