What can you do once you’re vaccinated?
With around 37 per cent of the population fully vaccinated south of the border, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new guidelines Tuesday that offer inoculated individuals a tiny taste of freedom from the masks that have become a ubiquitous part of everyday life.
Being fully vaccinated, according to the CDC, means two weeks have passed since a person received the second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or since the one and only dose of Johnson & Johnson’s offering.
“If you are fully vaccinated and want to attend a small outdoor gathering with people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, or dine at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households, the science shows if you are vaccinated, you can do so safely unmasked,” said CDC director Rochelle Walensky during a virtual White House briefing on Tuesday, according to CNN.
